Banksy is not a One person.
1 2018-10-10 by AadamAtomic
Just a fun Thought that could have a Real world impact.
Just as "Anonymous" is not a single hacker (as the general media believes), banksy is not a singular person, but a group of activist. The stencil print graffiti is genius, but simple enough to be replicated with cardboard and an Xacto-knife. I believe this simplicity was on purpose. what would happen if we started seeing "Banksy's" pop up in America as they do in the U.K.?
If a hand full of people spread Banksy art Across New york, California, and Texas, it would easily gain attention and take other states by storm.

how are you going to Down-vote a conspiracy and not say why? this sub is losing its fun. :,[

this sub has gone to shit....
1 erietemperance 2018-10-10
Says the 1 year club new fa@
It's shit because of the admin pushing out all the people who dig shit like this. Not because people post thoughts.
1 Drake02 2018-10-10
I've got five years here and I'll say it's turning to shit.
No entertaining spirit, no collective interest in solving and debunking, and no decorum.
It's all "Psyop", "LARP", "Useful idiot", "retard", and the classic 'quote the first sentence of a reply' and disregarding the actual rebuttal.
The worst part, the forum sliders are awarded with upvotes. The shittier you are with your replies, while belittling whatever partisan leaning you assume they have equals upvotes.
1 erietemperance 2018-10-10
Your reality is yours.
But back in the day there were more voices, and less people saying "this sub has gone to shit...."
Instead of saying that they would provide useful content.
1 Drake02 2018-10-10
Useful content is laughed out the door with downvotes.
Users attempting to step outside of their comfort zone are scolded for not being experts (often citing shit like the Boston Bombing). From issues of earthquake studies, Antarctica, chem trails and weather control, etc.
There is a reason this subreddit has turned into another news sub, it's because then users are stifled and either gave up or moved to niche forums.
Just look how welcoming the top comment is on nearly every post, you'll see your answer. They upvote the insults over the content.
1 logga 2018-10-10
Completely agree with you mate. I’ve been coming here like 7/8 years now but less so over the past year or so due to the political nature of discussion.
1 n1nj4_v5_p1r4t3 2018-10-10
More then one person would be the definition of a conspiracy. If hes working alone its not a conspiracy.
1 dankweeddoe 2018-10-10
I've seen this sub cheering on the New World Order and denying blatant brigading over the last few days. Complete opposite to what I normally see.
1 AlvinItchyCock 2018-10-10
You are upvoted by 36? Also people can dislike posts for all sorts of reason or even by accident best to ignore them.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
I was -8 with no comments..
1 AlvinItchyCock 2018-10-10
Well you should probably be patient before complaining about downvotes because you look stupid when you are upvoted +50 and are complaning about dvs.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
I was complaining how this sub is not as fun as it used to be because Marks like you ruined it.
1 AlvinItchyCock 2018-10-10
Actually you dont know me at all. I wouldnt be the person to do that. I engage in all conspiracy talk on here. I just get annoyed when people complain about downvotes and then a few hours their post is highly upvoted that is all.
1 totallycheesed 2018-10-10
-8? How do you know that when it only gets to 0
1 seeking101 2018-10-10
its because robbo is better
1 40ozdabs 2018-10-10
WOW Much respect! Ha not many know about the Banksy and ROBBO beef! R.I.P King ROBBO!
1 KennyPowers316 2018-10-10
I've wondered about that too. I mean, everyone leaves a paper trail. I don't buy that it's just this one guy. How does he get paid? How does his work get verified?
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
Exactly! On top of that, a giant wall mural "Banksy" can go up in a single night. That's at least a 2-3 man job to get it done in a safe amount of time without being caught.
1 captainn_chunk 2018-10-10
He doesn’t get paid. He never did this for money.
His private work canvas stuff is always dealt with through private dealings from gallery directors who talk to his people.
1 von-pennypacker 2018-10-10
WHats this whole banksy thing?
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
Banksy is a U.K Political activist who leaves very inspiring graffiti around the cities. Some of his art pieces have sold for Millions, and there have already been a few reports of his art(or similar) in New york.
1 KennyPowers316 2018-10-10
I've wondered about that too. I mean, everyone leaves a paper trail. I don't buy that it's just this one guy. How does he get paid? How does his work get verified?
1 seeking101 2018-10-10
a lawyer that represents him
1 qualityproduct 2018-10-10
I thought he was arrested in Palestine or something some time ago.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
The real Banksy has never been caught or identified. If it was a group of people spread around town, it would be extremely hard for them to triangular their position or home ground by art location and spread. Especially if they were just looking for one person and not too many.
1 perfect_pickles 2018-10-10
he prob was ONCE, but then got popular and franchised or bought out.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
His identity is unknown and there for unable trademark his art.. Anyone is free to copy it.
1 captainn_chunk 2018-10-10
It definitely started from one guy who just had the team to back him up in every way need. So yes it’s a collective but it’s still one guy.
1 iseeyoubruh 2018-10-10
he's real. Someone I met was his cousin and he showed me pics. This was wayyyy before Banksy got famous though. He's blond...
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
"Banksy, it's me your cousin! Let's go bowling!"
1 123456654321 2018-10-10
I think you mean Balki 😁
1 BobNoel 2018-10-10
Or it could just be Robert Del Naja.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
That's already been proven false as Robert had was in The U.K during banksy's 13 day trip to New York and was posting art there. However, Robert made an appearance in Banksy’s 2010 mockumentary “Exit through the Gift Shop”. Banksy returned the favour by writing the intro to Mr Del Naja’s book, “3D & the Art of Massive Attack”. It's already clear that the artist are friends, but Robert claims that he does not know Banksy true identity. but just as my theory suggests this could be a group of more than one person Robert being one of them.
1 Eoooiny 2018-10-10
Aye yeah. I 100% believe it is now more than one person. It probably started with one dude but turned into a group kind of thing
1 BobNoel 2018-10-10
Interesting, thanks for the info.
1 shadowofashadow 2018-10-10
Sounds like a good cover. Hire someone to go plaster your art around and be at home so you can say you had an alibi.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
If that were the case than this conspiracy is true.
1 shadowofashadow 2018-10-10
Yeah, and I think that even if Banksy is a single guy he must hire people at this point to do stuff for him. Way too much attention on him and chances of being caught.
1 hatter518 2018-10-10
I agree, I think he just had someone post so he had an alibi as well. I still believe Banksy and Robert are the same person.
1 soywars 2018-10-10
It's not Del Naja, thats for sure.

1 Riggedit 2018-10-10
Duh! :)
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
I'm glad I'm not the only one who finds this possibility cool to think about.
As with any conspiracy we are never positive without hard facts, but we have pretty good assumptions, especially as a collective.
1 sequentialcircus 2018-10-10
I'm one of the Banksy's. Don't tell anyone
1 Riggedit 2018-10-10
One only need to look at the elaborate nature of his artistic publicity stunts to come to the conclusion that multiple people and a network would be required to accomplish any of it.
I'd wager there was one mastermind, however.
1 mangazos 2018-10-10
Banksy is a person, his name is Robin Gunningham from Bristol. There is a research paper using a geospatial technique to prove he has been close to where all the graffities appeared, at least at the beginning of his career. Now being famous and a billionaire, he has a team of people who paint his designs. This was done in Palestaine or Israel.
1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
I just read an article about Robin Banks Robing Gunningham, It very much makes sense to what I was told, Skinny white guy from Easton.
I hear about this other guy called King Robbo that was battleing him for the name Rob aswell for a long time. He mysteriously died though, Conspiracy?
1 YouTXO 2018-10-10
Fuck banksy. Team Robbo here.
1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
Yeah Robbo was a more relatable dude, I seen his interview and his documentary.
You heard the Taskforce, Chester P Robbo tribute tune?
RIP Robbo
1 TheDubious 2018-10-10
Um no. Its robert del naja. From massive attack. Well technically its probably multiple members of massive attack. Their tour dates and cities always lined up with banksy pieces. Craig Williams lays it out here:
https://www.google.com/amp/s/glasgowtransmission.wordpress.com/2016/08/29/banksy-how-the-worlds-most-elusive-artist-may-in-fact-be-artists/amp/
1 LOV3_LAC3 2018-10-10
I highly doubt he is a billionaire.
1 _kNUCK 2018-10-10
That "research paper" is a load of horse-shit. It was just some lame ass professor who cited his own papers for nearly the entire "research paper". Go look at the sample data and how they collected it and tell me that it is passable...
1 hatter518 2018-10-10
I was just going to post the same thing, You can't just quote yourself and call it facts lol.
1 Gr0v3rCl3v3l4nD 2018-10-10
Banksy has named one "inspiration" ever... Robert Del Naja.
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
Banksy and Robert are 2 separate people, they do infact know each other, and have even collaborated with one another. (Exit threw the gift shop, and banksy's mockumentary)
1 hatter518 2018-10-10
There is NO WAY Banksy is a billionaire.
1 seeking101 2018-10-10
banksy definitely started out as one person, probably still is, but definitely started as one
1 rougekhmero 2018-10-10
And he’s in or very closely aligned with the band massive attack.
1 Zarathustra420 2018-10-10
Why?
1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
Because the lead singer from Massive Attack is an early guy in the graffiti scene with Goldie, And from Bristol. The original Banksey that used to be out painting and doing bits was without doubt a guy from Bristol who wasn't just know, People I knew from devon said they had met him at demos in the earlys 90's at Glastonbury. I cant veryfiy that, But the original guy is from Bristol
1 TheDubious 2018-10-10
I just commented above, but heres an article explaining it all:

Goldie did an interview this year talking about banksy and he called him Rob half way through
1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
Interesting! Because that rob guy CAN paint, I've never seen a freehand peice by Banksy.. And apparantly my mate who did the demo with all them said he was peicing freehand, Not any stencil thing. I dunno he told me more but it was so long ago
1 a1057940 2018-10-10
Goldie said: "Give me a bubble letter and put it on a T-shirt and write Banksy on it and we're sorted. We can sell it now... No disrespect to Robert, I think he is a brilliant artist. I think he has flipped the world of art over."

1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
I love Goldie, The raging cokehead lol
1 devontodetroit 2018-10-10
You sure Rob doesnt refer to Robin Gunningham, Robin Banks?
He was also mentioned in this thread and that story sounds more beleivable.
1 EZpeeeZee 2018-10-10
It's the first time I see his name after the art destroying he did last week, you guys knew him before?
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
Oh yes! Banksy has been around since 2013.
1 SteamedHamSalad 2018-10-10
He's been around way longer than that.
1 wakatacoflame 2018-10-10
I feel like he's one of the most widely known and influential artists of this generation. He's been around for like 20 years and has a very recognizable style of political graffiti that is imitated by tons and tons of people.
1 nordicgreys 2018-10-10
He has been shoved in our face for years. Even was commissioned to make a whole opening for the Simpsons
1 peg_leg6 2018-10-10
Next time I am downtown, I will spray paint a random stencil.

Yes! Simply by sharing stencils online (torrents,p2p,Ect) we are All Banksy.
1 Disrupturous 2018-10-10

Banksy 'was' one person, I saw him in Manchester down the side of the Thirsty Scholar and under Oxford Road train station during a Street Art Festival in 2004, was a white guy in his mid 30's with a goatee and glasses, looked like your average white transit van driver, I was bored of the B-boy event in the boxing ring under the bridge and went wandering & stumbled across him behind a row of plywood walls set up for a graffiti artists competition later that day. He was setting up his stencils and paints and space invader was next to him setting up one of his tile mosaics, I saw the exact same stencilled and finished piece being showcased a couple of hours later being presented as a Banksy but he was nowhere to be seen in the crowd.
1 Lord_Augastus 2018-10-10
no shit....
1 dwarfwhore 2018-10-10
Have you ever heard of the Cacophony Society? Very similar, although the coco-phony have a specific objective through their art.
What is Banksys objective?
1 AadamAtomic 2018-10-10
To take our countries back from the global corporations that are now so powerful, they can litteraly lobby laws into their favor. Corporations are practically creating laws for us to live by. This is the dystopian future Orwell warned us about in the 60's.
1 dwarfwhore 2018-10-10
Yeah seems super effective
1 CohenCash 2018-10-10
Do people still think banksy is cool?
I remember 10 years ago his art books were all over urban outfitters and I liked it, and I liked exit through the gift shop and that other one about NY
I think I still like him but I know how fickle the art world is and how when everybody starts liking something the 'cool' people have to move onto something else
1 exoticstructures 2018-10-10
It's tough to walk that line for too long. And once you get to a certain point of being known--there's just no going back.
