Dear axolotl_peyotl, Can You Answer a Pretty Straight Forward Question? Has Anyone Contacted You or Talked to You About How /rconspiracy Should be Run, Besides Other Mods?
1 2018-09-22 by dreamslaughter
It would be nice if the lead mod would tell the community if there is any pressure or contact about how to run r/conspiracy.
I think it would go a long way in confidence if axolotl_peyotl announced that he would post any contact to manipulate this subby.
Sure he could lie, and sure it may be a compromised account. but still IMHO this would help.

It's stupid to ask questions like this.
Because you assume that the answer will be truthful.
axolotl_peyotl will either:
Not answer, in which case you know nothing; or
Tell you what you want to hear, in which case you know nothing unless you actually believe the answer to be truthful, in which case... duh! Do you now what "anonymous" means? Anonymous means ZERO accountability.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
A little bit is infinitely more than none at all.
1 liverpoolwin 2018-09-22
There will have been many attempts no doubt, we are very lucky to have axolotl, as the shills are desperate to oust him and take over this place.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
And I think this would help.
1 Rockran 2018-09-22
Obviously the answer is yes. In that announcement thread about illuminatedwax's removal there were numerous people telling him how to do his 'job'.
You should've worded it to specifically mean the admins.
1 guesswhostrack 2018-09-22
Anyone who wants to convince someone of something is lying to themselves.
You don't need to do anything as a human apart from breathing, so why convince someone to do anything else?
Free thought and respectful discussion is what every subreddit should strive for, but it is only encouraged on niche subreddits like r/conspiracy.
The problem I have seen is that too often people who want to convince someone of thinking in ONLY one way get too much attention because they confirm other people perceived needs of ONLY thinking in one way.
Leave us alone, we are talking about thinking, not how to convince anyone of anything... that is what we are trying to avoid becoming victims of.

Sex. He forgot sex.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
Yes I agree.
I should have been more specific.
I guess what I think we want to hear is that axolotl_peyotl will post anytime someone tries to influence his decisions about this subby that is not a mod.
But then someone could influence a mod and get around it.
Maybe post if he is ever faced with an or else.
So axolotl_peyotl, if you are reading this. The question has changed a little.
Are you willing to post if you are contacted about how to run this subby, sans mods.
Post if you ever face an "or else" situation from anyone.
Think that makes more sense.
Thanks, Rockran.
1 LoganLinthicum 2018-09-22
You are, right now, contacting him about how to run this sub.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
Correct, and this is already posted as is obvious.
1 LoganLinthicum 2018-09-22
it was posted, but then your reframing of the question made the exact same error. People attempt to influence the mods on how the sub is run hundreds of times a day, I was attempting to draw attention to the fact that your question, even reposed, is not useful.
You want to ask if anyone gives input on the running of the sub that he feels some degree of obligation to follow. But even then, not really a useful question. If the answer was yes, obviously part of that compulsion would be to answer no to questions such as this.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
Post if you ever face an "or else" situation and/or offer of money from anyone to influence this subby.
This influence is directly above. Posted in public. It's kinda hard to miss.
1 LoganLinthicum 2018-09-22
I saw the edit, your framing is good now but the nature of the question is still enherently self-defeating and futile, as above.
It's not consequential; I was trying but failing to help. I understand you are trying to help too.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
I get it, but think about if axolotl_peyotl did say yes. That would blow a lot of people's minds.
Ya know, if he posted that he was offered fifty thousand dollars for the ownership of this subby and posted it.
Then went ahead and publicly took it, I'd say "you go boy". At least we would know exactly what was happening. And it could be that way already.
1 skeptic_martyr 2018-09-22
You would believe him if he said yes? You would believe him if he said no? Why would anyone else?
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
It would help, If I heard that from axolotl_peyotl, it would make me feel better, either way.
It's like Tulsi Gabbard, she could be Lucifer, but when I hear he talk or read her positions, it makes me feel good, lies or not.
It makes me feel good that her positions are in the public discourse.

Have you noticed that these sort of gifs and memes are so much more powerful than discussion. Seems like a subby like this would want to use this technique to try to red pill the sheep.
Right?
1 Rockran 2018-09-22
Reactiongifs are funnier than tying "LMAO"
But they shouldn't be used in any attempt to try to convince anyone of anything.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
I disagree.
They spark the uninitiated into thought and discussion.
If it's not worthy of discussion and research so what. But if it sparks some curiosity that is a great benefit.
Unless one is inclined to not want to spread red pills.
Then one would never want to see them.
1 axolotl_peyotl 2018-09-22
Yes.
Last night I did receive a PM informing me I've been doxxed and to hire a legal team.
Again, I get threats like this a lot...but if any of them ever actually materialize I'll be very vocal about it.
Fortunately, doxxing won't be the end for me, but I'd rather avoid it o_O
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
That's really strong, axolotl.
Thanks.

Ask the specialists from /r/the_conclave
1 EvilPhd666 2018-09-22
can't must be invited
1 liverpoolwin 2018-09-22
Thanks for the link, looks like a great sub, I wish I had seen it sooner
There is obviously a conspiracy from shills to get rid of axolotl, as he/she cannot be bought off, we are very lucky to have him/her as head mod.
1 Rockran 2018-09-22
kek so you've never heard of it before but you suddenly have access to it?
1 yellowsnow2 2018-09-22
I was invited to it long ago. I have since unsubbed because it is inactive. But TMOR users still think it is the secret hang out of conspiracy theorists they can't get to. Just like conspiracyright before they invaded and took it over.
1 Rockran 2018-09-22
And this subs mods.
And some of this subs users who are members there.

I unsubscribed months ago because it was dead. I think he just may be fucking with people. Or maybe they started using it again, I don't know.
1 JulianAsausage 2018-09-22
So when you said this
It was bullshit or a lie.
1 liverpoolwin 2018-09-22
I have been on the sub quite a while and contributed a lot, I am guessing that is why I was given access
1 Rockran 2018-09-22
A while ago some pics were leaked showing some threads in the conclave, which also showed a few of the members - it included people that had been banned numerous times over from this sub.
So the conclave, which is designed as a place to decide what to do with this sub, includes people banned from this sub... Clearly the criteria for access to it is beyond any logic I can imagine.
1 rodental 2018-09-22
I'm in conclave, that place is dead anyways.
1 Asterios390528 2018-09-22
can't imagine anyone would ever post after getting any kind of serious threat. a non serious threat would mean it's not worth posting about.
assume everything is compromised, this isn't a private community, go from there.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
Yeah I agree. Still think it would help.
1 new_velocity 2018-09-22
Does moderators being on the Department of Defense payroll count as influence/ compromise/ manipulation?
1 tinylilzikababyhead 2018-09-22
Can anyone comment on the real rise in Alex Jones posts? I mean, like unnatural amount?
Is somebody getting some payola????? Just asking.
1 wroughtchild 2018-09-22
Every major tech platform conspired to attack the first amendment. What they did clearly violates not only the Constitution but anti trust laws. I don't care for Alex Jones unless I'm looking for a laugh but he has the right to speak.
1 tinylilzikababyhead 2018-09-22
No one said he didn't have the right to speak ffs. The tidal wave of posts for him was not a natural amount. The man is a fraud and people here know that.
1 wroughtchild 2018-09-22
I agree that he's a fraud. Total puppet of Israel. You say no one said he didn't have the right to speak; but a conglomerate of multi billion dollar corporations have conspired to censor him! It's probably all a show using him to then crack down on other more legitimate voices. Millions think AJ is the truth though and when billions and billions and billions of dollars conspire his fans are going to be energized.
1 tinylilzikababyhead 2018-09-22
I agree with you.
1 liverpoolwin 2018-09-22
Infowars give people assignments
1 aaycure 2018-09-22
I think it would go a longer way in confidence if he and the other mods actually made an effort to remove blatant astroturf.
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
Every little thing helps.
1 misterteaa 2018-09-22
We’re not allowed to criticize mods or we get banned. We’re not allowed to criticize users or we get banned. What a joke
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
You can say a lot without criticizing.
1 misterteaa 2018-09-22
You can say even more with criticizing.
1 Drake02 2018-09-22
🙄
1 Joe_LeFlores 2018-09-22
Oh, there's plenty of nasty comments and personal attacks that don't get removed or banned. If you question Shady Hook, Boston Finger Paint Hoax, The Jokeland Shooting, etc, you will be called all kinds of nasty names, and the mods leave that shit up.
What's worse, the fuckers who verbally abuse people here are not even contributors to this site. Some guy will question if anybody even died at Newwtown, and some cunt that has never posted once at r/c is all of a sudden in this dude's face calling him every nasty name in the book.
1 HibikiSS 2018-09-22
That's right. Sometimes, despite the fact that a lot of posts from regular users reach the front page, most of the comments in those posts are from randoms attacking the poster, the sub and hell even the mods themselves. I can say it because I usually reach the front page and It's just painful to watch...
1 tinylilzikababyhead 2018-09-22
Are't you a conclave member?
1 Sketari 2018-09-22
Jokeland shooting?
1 digiorno 2018-09-22
You’re not allowed to hatefully attack people. But you can certainly have disagreements and give constructive criticism. I do it all the time and I’ve been here for years. Just be civil in your discourse.
1 sucksess79 2018-09-22
Not allowed to talk about anything not approved.
1 Apolitical_Corrector 2018-09-22
The fact that your comment ^ has not been [removed] disproves the very "point" you were hoping to make, no?
Congratulations.
1 sucksess79 2018-09-22
Just repeating the protocol is actually approved speak. You are also allowed by reinforcing the narrative. Good boy.
Not too much humor in your region? Did you read Orwell?
1 Apolitical_Corrector 2018-09-22
Is that true? If so, how is it that yours is a top comment in a thread that is full of comments highly critical of axolotl_peyotl and other conspiracy mods?
Yes, I find the fact that your comment has not been removed -- thereby disproving the allegations therein -- to be quite amusing.
A fine example of Self-Defeatism.
Carry on.
1 misterteaa 2018-09-22
It’s not self defeatism because it’s not attacking a specific mod or user.
Nice try.
1 Joy_McClure 2018-09-22
Soooooo did he answer to anyone or are we still waiting?
1 axolotl_peyotl 2018-09-22
The short answer is no.
I get loads of threatening PMs though...most of them are generic and lambast me for spreading "Russian propaganda" or whatever the trending complaint of the day is against me (and the rest of the /r/conspiracy community).
However, I've never been pressured by someone with authority to do things differently here.
In addition, I'm not "in control" of this sub. The moment I abuse my position and break reddit rules I'm outta here. Sure, my voice has weight, but at this point my greatest asset to this sub (imo) is to absorb the negative energy from anti-conspiracy sentiment on reddit in general.
I'd like to think that the considerable energy spent harassing me will decrease the amount of harassment directed at others. This is more a practical development then anything "noble" on my part.
But I can definitely promise full transparency.
OP I appreciate your concerns, and I plan on continuing to address them!
1 Joe_LeFlores 2018-09-22
I think you guys need to do a better job of policing the sub for abusive language towards conspiracy theorists. I also think you should not allow commenting or voting from users who do not contribute to the sub.
1 m010101 2018-09-22
I think you should spend a week at r/woldnews, the shittiest, most toxic and agenda-driven sub. Then come back here. Shock therapy, so to speak.
1 mr__meeseeks__ 2018-09-22
Do you know what punishments I've endured for my crimes, my sins? None.I am proof of the absurdity of men's most treasured abstractions. A just universe wouldn't tolerate my existence.

No free thinking going on there for sure.
1 nobodyandnoonehere 2018-09-22
Funny how back in the day r/news was what is r/worldnews now.
Those mod cunts are make a shitload of money.

1 ijustwantanfingname 2018-09-22

Why is everyone so fragile these days?
1 aaycure 2018-09-22
I don't particularly understand that part about not being in control. Surely it isn't against site rules to ban anyone posting in bad faith. As in the people who exclusively post on politics and only come here to shit on every single conspiracy theory.
1 gandalfsbastard 2018-09-22
I think the risk is just that, you ban folks for crapping on someones ideas just because they are from one particular viewpoint (in this case I assume you mean anyone from the left) without doing the same to all other groups that crap on other ideas it shows bias in your actions as a mod. That should lead to removal from moderation duties and in a sub that is literally a battleground you better believe folks are watching and waiting to point out hypocrisy in moderation.
1 JulianAsausage 2018-09-22
Dude the president is up his neck in criminal conspiracies damn straight in coming here to talk about them.

You're all going to have to use a different website for actual conspiracy debate. Anything that goes against the left-wing mindset, you'll get brigaded.
1 3eg 2018-09-22
The throwaway account and axo are (in my opinion) running r/conspiracy into the ground. By now I'm seriously wondering if it is by design...
1 dreamslaughter 2018-09-22
