Can anyone verify the tweet from NSA/CSS?

I found this in a post from u/SarahNarwhalAlien earlier today and it didn't get much traction at all.

this one that's contained in the link

apparently confirmed real? https://www.fellowshipoftheminds.com/2017/12/13/nsa-tweet-pizzagate-is-real/

Voat post about the tweet

Reddit post from last year (Edit: this year, from LBF)

https://amp.reddit.com/r/conspiracy/comments/76fuoc/in_2016_the_nsa_tweeted_to_pursue_pizzagate_and/

In summation, in December 2016, the NSA official Twitter account posted about John Podesta, saying Pizzagate was real. The account to originally retweet the original NSA tweet no longer exists.

I was admittedly unaware of the existence of this tweet until a few hours ago. Does anyone have additional information on this?

Edit: I found an archive link to the retweet

https://archive.is/bbYdH

Still potentially an edited screenshot, but one more piece nonetheless.

Review u/SarahNarwhalAlien's post history.

They are constantly making things up, making bizarre comments about who they are are what they know, etc.

That's exactly the determination I made, but everything about this particular bit of info seems to add up, unless they manufactured everything start to finish over a year ago, and somehow had access to the NSA official twitter account.

photoshop, friend. You don't need access to an account to make it appear the account has posted something. The disclaimer that the post would be dleted is a nice creative flourish because when anyone does go look through the nsa account twitter history they are not going to see the supposed screen grabbed tweet and then OMGZ! Seriously, if the nsa had proof of the validity of pizzagate why not present the evidence? This isn't Easter morning where your dad is telling you that there are still a few plastic eggs with jellybeans strewn across the yard, but it's yourjob to find them...

A very fair point, and exactly why I made the post.

Whoa.. What have you stumbled upon here?

Look at that 48% voting on this too.. Hmm..

I'm not sure if it's bunk or not, just trying to keep an open mind. The archive link of the retweet seems to be legit

https://archive.is/bbYdH

Another user said the link is an image, and gives you the option to 'copy image' however I'm able to highlight and select just the text, so I think they may be mistaken

It does look like a legitimate archive to me too. I was paying attention around the time of that tweet but I don't recall hearing about this..

Same here, which is why I made this post

Looking like bunk, oh well!

I just saw this earlier. The only verification of proof is what has been provided so far. Interesting nonetheless.

I hope this isn't an attempt at "consensus cracking". That tweet is obviously fake. One can tell just by the low quality screenshot. Whoever made it did not know what they were doing. Other than that, there is also the "pre-commitment" part of the tweet which should make it even more obvious that it's fake (it's wikileaks related not NSA). Finally, no archive exists of that tweet. Lot of people knew about pizzagate by then, and if that tweet were real, someone would have archived it.

An archive exists for the retweet. I just dug it up a couple minutes ago and added it to the post

https://archive.is/bbYdH

I'm still inclined to agree with you, but it's one more piece

That is not a "retweet". That is the fake screenshot I was talking about. You can right click on it and click "view image". Guy did not even know how to make a more realistic looking screenshot.

Heh good catch. Thanks, I'm on mobile and didn't pick up on that

Edit: left for transparency, though replaced by my other reply to the above comment

Wait, why is the text selectable for me then? I'm able to copy the text and wouldn't be able to do that if it were an image

It should not be possible to select the text in the image unless your phone has some super special feature where OCR is used on all images displayed on the browser.

Definitely not a feature on this device. I frequently save images my clicking and holding. That is not an option here, instead it highlights portions of the text

And no, not trying to consensus crack. I had never heard about this tweet until today and shared it again because the post I saw it on had almost no discussion.

What do you mean by, 'wikileaks related not NSA?'

You managed to find that fake tweet, so I am sure you can also find what I meant by "wikileaks related".

There is plenty of legitimate evidence regarding pizzagate that cannot be easily debunked. Maybe try finding and posting them instead.

Well I couldn't find it which is why I asked. And I still haven't seen anything conclusive to determine whether the tweet is fake or not

Thanks for your help. Looking bunk but it threw me for a loop when I was able to copy and paste the text from the image. It now just comes up as an image, and I'm still unsure how that happened before.

Presumably the same way you archive anything, but if it's an image, the text shouldn't be able to be highlighted and selected individually, which it is

[deleted]

Do you have anything besides the provided links that substantiate the tweet's validity?

[deleted]

I haven't, I'm only familiar with the archive site the bot posts links to

[deleted]

I don't think that's what I said, it's just what I found when searching the archive

Sorry I just get jumpy whenever someone says confirmed in all caps, as that's a favorite catchphrase that the users of your namesake enjoy employing as a means of discrediting this place.
