Can we discuss a bit about political correctness and the weaponization of language?
11 2017-11-27 by TryhardPantiesON
Political correctness is not about being correct or speaking up with respect, it is only about silencing people, perpetuate a state of self censorship, stop people from talking about subject that do matter.
To give you an example.
If you even dared to say "Refugess in Europe are violent people, they rape women and children and they have openly admitedly their desires to take over Europe", you would be labelled a bigot, a racist, islamophobe.
If you dared to criticize the official narrative about 9/11, or the Las Vegas shooting, or JFK assassination, then you are a "Conspiracy nut", a "Conspiracy Theorist", a "truther".
If you dared to say "Jews run Hollywood, the main stream media, the banks, and the Government".. we all know it, you would be an "anti-semite", a "racist", a "NAZI".
This is weaponization of language, make something unquestonable even if it is absurd and an outright lie, by stamping a label on anyone who dare to criticize that thing, then people become afraid to criticize that thing. They censor themselves by avoiding talking about the 600 pound gorilla in the room.
I know there are a lot more examples of weaponization of language, but i couldn't remember them all. Feel free to add your own example.

If TPTB can convince the majority into believing a narrative then the minority will be labeled crazy for doubting it. The trick is that the minority will either actually go crazy or at the least appear crazier the harder they try to convince the majority they are right or they will give up. It's a win/win for TPTB.

Political correctness is a tool of critical theory (cultural Marxism) designed to break down traditional culture. Political correctness is not about being nice. It's about policing how people talk.

Not surprised this is so heavily dowevoted. The truth is always attacked.

So are lies though.

Says the top minds lurker. Lol. Why don't you go back there where you can talk like you're better than everyone else and be happy in you're authoritarian echo chamber.
1 DeoxyDeoxyDeoxy 2017-11-27
Who says I lurk top minds?
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
It's obvious you do. All you do is come in threads and belittle what is being claimed. Top minds behavior. Like you think you're better than others.

It's so typical of people on this sub to believe something for which they have no proof.
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
There you go again belittling people in this sub from the position of an outsider. Please. You have to go back.
1 DeoxyDeoxyDeoxy 2017-11-27
And yet, you have no response to the fact that you have no evidence for what you think about me.
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
I don't need evidence when your syntax gives you away. You literally just said "It's so typical of people on this sub to believe something for which they have no proof." like an outsider. You're tmor. Time to delete and try to blend in again in a week. Nice try though.

Your motto lol.

Is that all you read?
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
Do you even have a conspiracy you're interested in?
1 i_am_unikitty 2017-11-27
This isn't fucking football this is a search for truth
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
Why are you even in a conspiracy forum if you belittle every conspiracy post? What conspiracies are you actually interested in?
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
Transgressaing against the dialectical purity of political correctness is a post modern secularization of sin.
1 TryhardPantiesON 2017-11-27
Can you put that in words that i can understand?
1 RMFN 2017-11-27
Saying equality is a false concept is like saying god does not exist in the middle ages.

Political correctness does not legislate tolerance; it only organizes hatred. - Jacques Barzun
1 DeoxyDeoxyDeoxy 2017-11-27
Uh, yeah I'd say it's a bit bigoted to make such a general claim about people based on the actions of a subset of refugees.
1 TryhardPantiesON 2017-11-27
Yeah, it comes off as bigotry.. But that statement also has truth to it.
Are refugees raping women and children? Yes.
Are all refugees raping women and children? No.
1 Long_Tetris_Piece 2017-11-27
Some dolt tried to pull this shit on me yesterday too. I said something to the effect of "feminists think women can do no wrong" and at the end, in order for my statement to ring true for this person, it boiled down to:
I needed to prove this by citing 51% of feminists saying this outright.
I needed to resurrect the dead who began modern feminism and have them say it.
That's the trick. Unless it's documented somewhere in a peer reviewed liberal biased scientific report, then anyone who contradicts their idea of a subject is magically moved outside of the spectrum. "Well that wasn't a TRUE feminist" you'll hear.
Same thing happening here nobody is suggesting all refugees are violent lawbreakers. Anyone with a speck of critical thinking can see that. Yet this guy is doing exactly what you're discussing... weaponizing your speech in a way by twisting your words. Thing's you've NEVER said, now being used to prove you're a bigot.
It's infuriating and incredible to see.

If you heard someone say "White people are racist," would you agree with them because you assume that they actually mean "Some white people are racist"?
1 Long_Tetris_Piece 2017-11-27
Valid point, but the sample size of white people is much larger. Saying "whites in America are racist" is still off. Saying "whites are racist in a specific part Virginia where we have numbers showing there are the most white on black crime" is probably accurate.
So OPs example was "Refugees in Europe are violent people, they rape women and children and they have openly admitedly their desires to take over Europe". Now one could probably find many many articles supporting this groom the last 16 months alone. Is it really necessary to be reductive for the sake of being reductive and pretend it's a racist comment?
The sample of refugees is smaller, so any crimes are highlighted. If you have 10,000 refugees and 1,300 have been convicted of a violent crime, that's a lot more interesting than saying there's 4,000 KKK members out of the 230,000,000 white people in America.

Then learn to use the word "some." It changes the entire context.
1 CartoonContentFinder 2017-11-27
Words like “some” and “a lot” might as well be invisible to people who have already made up in their mind that you are a bigot before you even finish your point.
1 D0NT_TAZE_ME_BRO 2017-11-27
"White people are uneducated racists who live in trailer parks and get high off moonshine and oxycontin while mooching off their disability check."
That makes me sound like an asshole right? Perhaps if I used different words and didn't lump them all together, it would come off better.
1 CartoonContentFinder 2017-11-27
Agreed, but it makes no difference to the alt-left.
You either agree with them 100% or you’re a nazi or a nazi enabler.
1 PerdidasBH 2017-11-27
Keep trying to make fetch happen.
1 CartoonContentFinder 2017-11-27
No idea what you are talking about.
1 i_am_unikitty 2017-11-27
And how about "jews run the world", no they fucking don't, man, and wording it like that makes you sound like a paranoid nazi which makes us all look bad.
And it's not even true. The pawns who go to your local synagogue every Saturday are just that, brainwashed pawns. And it's the zionists who have the overt power. That's not to mention the other figureheads. If you're a Christian for instance, ultimately you are a pawn of the Vatican, even though chances are, you're Protestant and don't even realize you are their pawn, and may even see them as an enemy.
And that's not even to mention the covert powers, whose names we may never know, who may not even be in this dimension for all we know. Who really runs this world? The psychopath. Built by the psychopath, for the psychopath, administered by - the psychopath. All else is ever shifting temporal politics, rebranding and PR.
1 D0NT_TAZE_ME_BRO 2017-11-27
All refugees in Europe are violent and raping women? If you think that, it is pretty racist. Indian people run 711. So what if lots of jewish people get jobs in Hollywood. Christians run Congress and the white house. Men account for over 95% of murders. Should we do something about men? Why are white people so hopelessly addicted to opioids. Are they all drug addicts?
You can address problems without lumping everyone in a group together. That's when people will tell you that what youre saying is sexist or racist or just dumb.

Thank you!
Political correctness is about moving through the short span of time when we considered people slaves due to their skin color, or unable to own property due to their gender.
Of course it's going to be awkward and have bumps and hurdles, this is a major societal change. Try to be at the forefront and speak with empathy and tact, that's really all it takes.
1 sendNudesNotNukes132 2017-11-27
maybe not a weaponization and more so dearming.
1 zarus 2017-11-27
We need a new term to replace "politically correct." Something more sinister/ridicule-worthy.
