When Reddit was being purged of some users I went over there to check it out as it was being mentioned here a lot as a new alternative. It became dominated by racists. Haven't gone back unfortunately. Don't really want to see posts saying N****R this and that.

I have my suspicion that a lot of those racist are shills to make the whole place look bad. Same thing happens on 4chan. It's a brilliant strategy if you think about it.

There's some shills, some trolls, and some genuine racists. Not sure on percentages.

Voat has free speech, reddit does not. There are racists on voat certainly, just as there are on reddit. The difference is that on reddit everything is whitewashed so that corporate interests can make more money by keeping the discourse mainstream.

i think voat was an attempt by the shills here to move the community to a place more suited for thier control schemes. i think reddit actually has lofe left and if we play our catds right we could bring it back

one of the last places censorship is at an all time low compared to the rest of these types of sites.

if you are an adult and can handle scary words sort of like 4chan you will have an alright time.

Free speech or open discussions always look scary to some and if you give these scary words power imagine what else you gave power too.

The co-opting of symbols itself has become a symbol (praise kek?), and so at this point literally anything is possible. But that doesn't mean it will carry any meaning.
