Makes you really wonder who is responsible for that incident , doesn't it?

Just a joke that they can arrest you on charges nobody can prove then ship you off to a black site. Welcome friend!!! Bye Bye!

The guy was arrested because of his role in the Kronos trojan. He probably exposed himself when he went public with interviews and such regarding his role in halting WannaCry.
He wasn't arrested for no reason and he's definitely not going to be taken to a black site.

It was pure sarcasm, he would have to really slip up in a interview to have them connect him to something that happened two years ago.

Oh, you were being sarcastic.
Yeah, that's unless they were already investigating him and connected certain dots because of the interview. That's neither here nor there.

Probably was a MIC attempt to discredit blockchain currencies.

They said he was posting bail today, but I haven't seen anything.
He is supposed to be in Wisconsin next week to stand for the charges . I agree that he upset someone. Definitely following this story....

Is that where they give hackers daily doses of lsd then make them play Oregon trail on a Mac 2e?

Pretty sure they start with the Commodore 64.

Isn't defcon where they exposed the vulnerability of our voting machines?
I'm going to guess they tried recruiting him, but he didn't want to be thier puppet...so they press ganged him.

Who is to say he didn't create the wanncry infection and mysteriously had the antidote ready?

If other people did not have access to find the same data. But all the malware researchers had access to this infection. Are there any who are reading this that have anything to add? Was the line of code with the domain name really there?
