You may not believe in it and think it's silly, but a lot of people do believe in it. And a lot of these people are doing horrible things in the name of said beliefs.

The first "satanic ritual" that anyone would perform would prove to them that nothing happens. If I found a "legit" satanic (or whatever the flavor of the month is) ritual and did it right now, absolutely nothing would happen.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Pedo's are real, bringing satan into it makes people cringe and reject any truth that might be there. If people could focus on the provable facts and get away from the ritual worship stuff there's a better chance of people actually being caught and convicted. There are children that need to be helped but making it a satan thing loses support, or maybe that's how the pedo's want it. I've always suspected that adding satan to this would lose credibility and who's to say it's not the pedo's who attach satan to make it seem less credible? Kids need help, if people really want to do something then focusing on the facts and getting back to building a real case will do more then this satanic bullshit. You can't prove satan, you can prove that a child was hurt.
