Can we make a concerted effort to start calling it [ pedo ] gate instead of [ pizza ] gate? People might take it more serious when they hear pedo instead of their all time favorite food.

This is not about pizza anymore.
This is about pedophilia, child trafficking and implications that many of our politicians and global elite have been involved in both.
Start calling it what it is... PEDOgate.

how about we just call it widespread corruption of the sociopolitical elite. This gate bullshit is just that.
n/a myedgyname 2017-02-08
Exactly. It's human trafficking. No silly titles needed.
n/a NeonFrights 2017-02-08
Hear, hear.
n/a daneelr_olivaw 2017-02-08
Someone should go talk to Voat guys about rebranding this.
n/a AdviseMyAdvice 2017-02-08
PizzaGate sounds more crazy, so when we get proven right it will be a much bigger "I told you so." PedoGate isn't going to convince anybody more than PizzaGate would.
In all honesty though idc what you guys call it. It will ALWAYS be PizzaGate to me.
n/a _Ph03niX 2017-02-08
That's part of the problem
This is unlikely, in part, due to the above.
n/a auxiomatic 2017-02-08
Really? The conspiracy name, and not the lack of credible evidence, is why it won't be taken seriously?
n/a PEDRO_de_PACAS_ 2017-02-08
Yes. Most people hear it and think it's some sort of meme their not familiar with
n/a auxiomatic 2017-02-08
You might pick and choose what to believe in based on naming conventions, rather than facts and evidence, but I don't think most people are that dumb.
n/a AdviseMyAdvice 2017-02-08
Idk why you're getting downvoted. PizzaGate as a name is such a moot point in all of this. We shouldn't give a shit about the name we should care about the truth and facts.
n/a Miggle-B 2017-02-08
Names are important. Think clickbait. People are more likely to engage of it catches their eye
n/a auxiomatic 2017-02-08
I just want to point out: you're implying that a well-named falsehood would be believed over a poorly named truth. If that's the case, this sub must actually like the name.
n/a Miggle-B 2017-02-08
For the average person yeah, most wouldn't bother looking at something without a catchy name
n/a auxiomatic 2017-02-08
You're implying that you're not an average person. How do you know "pizzagate" isn't eye catching to average people?
n/a Miggle-B 2017-02-08
"Pizzagate" is eye catching. "The elite involved in human trafficking and cover up" isn't. I know because clickbait works.
n/a uncomonsens 2017-02-08
Many people in America are fat so the name will get their attention and we need all the help we can get
n/a EricCarver 2017-02-08
This has been discussed ad nauseum. Piz.zaga.te was consensus because the normies are turned off by pedo. Piz.zaga.te was chosen to get normies curious and not instantly turned off.
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-02-08
It's 666 in numerology. They chose it. Not us.
n/a Sebbean 2017-02-08
Huh?
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-02-08
This.
I don't usually roll with the whole "ITS NUMEROLOGYYYYYY THEYRE MOCKING US ITS 33 mannnn!" But, I discovered this back in October when PG was breaking. I thought I posted it... But looking through my history, I can see that I never did. Oops.. Hah
n/a tindergod 2017-02-08
It was chosen because the claims were that it was literally about pizza places and pizza as codewords.
n/a LKMKLK 2017-02-08
Sorry no.it has been branded pizzagate, it takes a long time and this is not the place to unbrand something. I remember when PG first started and people wanted to name it something else but nothing materialized. PG is what it is for better or worse. I support you and don't really like it either but it too late.
n/a Amen_ds 2017-02-08
I remember the discussions on names when this all first hit. Some were presenting the same argument as OP, some were echoing the comments that lend to the palatability of the phrase, one guy consistently called it something like ElitesfuckchildrenGate, which was my personal favorite. You're right though, it is what it is now and there is little we can do to change it. However that's hardly an issue because when spreading it to others IRL I hardly call it PizzaGate. I don't really have a name for it I just lay out the likely hood that elites the world over abuse children and have for a long time. PG is really just an easy reference name in these forums on the internet where little convincing is done anywho.
n/a Orangutan 2017-02-08
It's stuck. It's worked. And it softens the blow of the horrible information contained within.
n/a The_Watterboy 2017-02-08
This
n/a facepalmlife 2017-02-08
...is the worst idea. I totally agree.
n/a smokeytokerton 2017-02-08
The worst one?
n/a facepalmlife 2017-02-08
Pizzagate is way more palatable. Calling it pedogate will curb the discussion. It is and will forever be, Pizzagate .
n/a HeyWhyAreYouSoDumb 2017-02-08
Because it's not just about pedos, it's about an elite human trafficking operation operating in Washington DC, so emboldened and out in the open that they've got multiple Pizza establishments on the same street using different pedophile symbols.
Pizzagate is real. Alefantis is guilty.
n/a TheWiredWorld 2017-02-08
Agreed. The name itself ensures that you are introduced to their methods of concealment before their deeds - giving you a better understanding of their depth.
n/a ProgrammingPants 2017-02-08
You say that with so much confidence that one would almost think you had actionable or tangible proof that even indicates a crime has taken place or that Alefantis has committed one.
n/a tindergod 2017-02-08
Guilty of what crime exactly?
n/a Groomper 2017-02-08
The name is not why nobody takes pizzagate seriously. It's because there's literally no concrete evidence to support it. For a sub that prides itself on skepticism, there is weirdly little of when it comes to going after Democrats.
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-02-08
Oh god.. This again. Republicans are just as guilty. Stahp making bogus claims until you've done your homework.
n/a Groomper 2017-02-08
Then why are the vast majority of those attacked by pizzagate Democrats?
n/a thakiddd 2017-02-08
Because we have their emails
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-02-08
Cynthia McKinney is a democrat and she made Rumsfeld her bitch in the DYNCORP hearing back in (06?).
I believe Hastert was the republican speaker of the house.
The Bush family have been accused of this shit for decades.
NONE of this stuff is new. It's been widely known amongst the "conspiracy" community since at least the late 60s-70s.
n/a DawnPendraig 2017-02-08
Hah he's quiet now. Guess he has to find out how to reroute this back to us being trumpeted or whatever their lame names are this week
n/a TheSoulFrog 2017-02-08
Well to be fair it is 5Am.. Lmao
n/a DawnPendraig 2017-02-08
Oh yah... insomnia is so lonely =)
n/a MisfitMind00 2017-02-08
You're dumb and uninformed.
n/a Groomper 2017-02-08
Then enlighten me. Did this whole thing not start at a smear against Podesta and the Clintons?
n/a server_busy 2017-02-08
I just scroll past anything with pizza in the title. You're definitely onto something here
n/a edenrocks 2017-02-08
You know what it is and you scroll on by on principle of the name?
n/a Romek_himself 2017-02-08
this ...
n/a thakiddd 2017-02-08
The only way this would work correctly is if everyone involved altogether did made a concerted effort or campaign push all at the same time.
n/a bern_blue 2017-02-08
They are the ones referring to their victims as "pizza." Small, inconsequential, easily consumed, destroyed, then forgotten.
n/a DawnPendraig 2017-02-08
And probably home delivery =(
n/a autorackboxcar 2017-02-08
It doesn't matter what you call it, it's still bullshit
n/a _Ph03niX 2017-02-08
There's a whole pile of stupid in this thread.
n/a russian321 2017-02-08
I can't eat pizza seriously anymore
n/a ParanoidFactoid 2017-02-08
Can we make a concerted effort to focus on verifiable fact rather than branding and public relations strategy?
n/a Ragefan66 2017-02-08
I'm up for it, pizzagate sounds stupid as fuck anyway.
What we need to stop doing is upvoting bullshit posts about pedogate though. A few days ago there was a thread with two thousand points, ot literally said some shit along the lines of "Pizzagate is going down! Hillary and Bill were just stopped by the Trump administration trying to flee to a non extradition country, hundreds of politicians will be arrested tomorrow, some will try to take their lives tonight"
I'm not even shitting you guys, this is a post that garnered several thousand upvotes from this sub.
The amount of fake pedo gate news thats posted and upvoted here is astounding, and every time it's debunked the next day we start to question the legitimacy of the whole conspiracy.
We need to tone down on pizzagate tbh, its overwhelming especially when there hasn't been new evidence in months. I want this as public as the next guy but reposting Ben Swan videos every single day is more annoying than effective IMO. It was thrilling the first two times I saw it last month but I've probably seen it posted here 50 times over the last few weeks.
Just my opinion guys, I feel like we should be focusing on the insane amount of issues going on in our current government rather than reposting the same pedogate article/video.
But we know this sub has a huge pro Trump bias so I guess we're stuck with pedogate reposts and Obamas evil acts from three years ago.
I dunno guys, I hope I'm not the only one who's burnt out on reposts that seem to get us no where. I dunno, I'm curious where the rest of you guys stand?
n/a DPerman1983 2017-02-08
The whole -gate thing needs to go.
n/a J_Dub_TX 2017-02-08
Agree 100%. This has definitely transformed into a full on citizen investigation.
n/a Maximusplatypus 2017-02-08
The name change will never happen. I'm just being realistic. It's way too ingrained and widespread
n/a torj18 2017-02-08
THANK YOUUUUU
n/a Loose-ends 2017-02-08
I think you can justify saying the same about the suffix "gate" getting picked off the Watergate Hotel break-in and burglary and applied to just about every scandal that has come to light since that the repeated exposure to it now probably turns off and away as much attention as it now attracts.
I've mentioned in other posts that the Mafia and organised crime syndicates have all used pizza parlors as convenient fronts for all kinds of criminal activities, including prostitution, in the past, and there's no reason to believe that it doesn't still happen.
Enough to make me wonder if the underground pizza jargon related to this case as well as the possibility of Comet Pizza being just such a front is part of that history that the authorities know was not only hard to detect and separate from legitimate pizzerias but actually a highly successful way for criminals with the financial wherewithal to run those operations to get away with any number of crimes more often than not.
n/a tindergod 2017-02-08
Are you sure about that?
n/a Ronaldjpierce 2017-02-08
The gate part is what really bothers me. It's a childish thing to add, especially considering there was just a gate for a guy that deflated a ball in a game.
n/a SafetyDaily101 2017-02-08
personally I like "the Pedo-Files"
n/a timmymac 2017-02-08
No. Stop asking.
n/a Thr_owawayAccount 2017-02-08
OP: I started calling them pizzaphiles. Am I doing it right?
n/a Edin8999 2017-02-08
Too little too late , you guys already discredited pizzagate with all the bullshit that gets posted here.
n/a catsfive 2017-02-08
I use #pizza as a tag on Twitter because that makes it harder for them to censor such a common term.
n/a stemnewsjunkie 2017-02-08
Can we stop adding the word 'gate' to ever conspiracy that comes out?
It was needed during the Gamer debacle. The further we move along the more the term loses its power.
n/a BIGD0RK 2017-02-08
Right, Lose the Gate as well
n/a tedsmitts 2017-02-08
People might take it more seriously if there were credible evidence or victims.
